Business as usual

Emu Bay has not been impacted by the recent bush fires on Kangaroo Island.

We have quite expansive views and cannot see any fire ground. Our koalas are safe and the kangaroos and echidnas love coming through too.

The eastern side of the island offers lots to see and do and roads are already open again down to Seal and Vivonne Bay and up to Stokes Bay on the north coast. The bush has an amazing ability to recover after fire and new sprouts are coming up already.

The best place to learn about the bushfires and see some of the amazing stories of survival and recovery is on the Tour Kangaroo Island website

There is an interactive map that lets you know what is open that will help you plan your stay and sightseeing. All businesses that are open are looking forward to having visitors return and help with the economic recovery. You can also follow us on our Facebook page to see updates.
