We have quite expansive views and cannot see any fire ground. Our koalas are safe and the kangaroos and echidnas love coming through too.
The eastern side of the island offers lots to see and do and roads are already open again down to Seal and Vivonne Bay and up to Stokes Bay on the north coast. The bush has an amazing ability to recover after fire and new sprouts are coming up already.
The best place to learn about the bushfires and see some of the amazing stories of survival and recovery is on the Tour Kangaroo Island website
