Shalom House - 4 Guests
Enjoy the same cosy, classic Aussie holiday house experience at Shalom House, ideal for couples or friends travelling together and sharing a private home with lovely Emu Bay views.

Here’s a taste of how your winter weekend can unfold.
Friday – Arrive, settle in, and unwind:
Arrive via ferry, enjoy the leisurely scenic drive across Kangaroo Island to beautiful Emu Bay, and settle into your private house. Spend the afternoon relaxing, walking Emu Bay Beach, looking for resident koalas in the landscaped gardens, or simply soaking in the stunning views. In the evening, enjoy a cosy local dinner and drinks, maybe meet some locals and enjoy local music, before returning home for a quiet night in. The KI night sky can be exceptionally clear for some stargazing!
Saturday – Explore the island your way:
Experience an awesome sunrise over Emu Bay. Enjoy breakfast and barista coffee at Emu Bay Lavender Farm, collect your picnic basket, and set out for a full day of discovery. Guests can choose between a wildlife-focused day (including the sanctuary and raptor experience, and a Little Sahara buggy tour or a self-guided scenic drive to Flinders Chase to explore icons like Admirals Arch and Remarkable Rocks and Vivonne Bay. Return via charming Parndana to Emu Bay for a pre-delivered dinner and a relaxed evening at home. Maybe watch a movie classic, maybe watch the star filled night sky; maybe do both.
Sunday – Slow morning, local stops, and ferry home:
Enjoy breakfast and barista coffee at Emu Bay Lavender Farm, then travel back toward Penneshaw with a few local highlights along the way, including a stop at The Kangaroo Island Ligurian Bee Co. and a light oyster tasting lunch stop at American River. Then on to Penneshaw and board the ferry for your return journey.
Optional Sunday Night Add-On:
Want more time? Add a discounted Sunday night and enjoy a full extra day at your own pace before departing Monday. This add-on includes the extra night’s accommodation plus breakfast and coffee. Additional meals, activities, and experiences for the extra day are self-managed.

- If guests choose to fly or travel as walk-on ferry passengers and hire a vehicle on KI, package costs can be adjusted to exclude the relevant ferry/vehicle component.
- All car rental or flight arrangements and costs are for the guest.
- If weather impacts ferry sailings or activities, alternative dates/activities may be offered where possible (subject to availability).
- For sudden weather changes relevant impacting activities selections, the activity fees may be refunded where applicable.
- Guests should advise any dietary requirements in advance.
- Excludes fuel, on-island transport, and any unlisted/unspecified costs.
